2023 Citroen C4 1.5 BlueHDi Shine Plus Hatchback
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s a 2023 Citroen C4 1.5 BlueHDi Shine Plus hatchback, five doors, diesel, 8-speed auto. I bought it new, and it’s been well looked after, mostly just getting the occasional service and keeping it in good shape. It’s got that 1.5L diesel engine — not the most powerful, but smooth and reliable. The ride is actually pretty good thanks to the Advanced Comfort Suspension, which makes it feel like you're cruising on a nice road even when there’s a bit of pothole or uneven surface. I’ve driven it through a lot of different roads, from city streets to motorways, and it just handles everything without much fuss.
One thing I really like is the intelligent beam headlights — they adjust automatically depending on what’s around you, which helps when driving at night or in the rain. Also, the cabin is pretty quiet thanks to the high-level acoustic insulation, so if you're listening to music or having a chat with a passenger, it doesn’t feel like the outside noise is getting through.
The dashboard has a 5.5-inch backlit TFT display — not flashy, but clear and easy to read. You can see things like speed, fuel, and warning messages without having to squint.
Now, a bit of a detail I want to be honest about: the car had a small insurance claim back in September 2024. It was panel damage, and it was fully repaired by an approved bodyshop. I’ve had it checked through a proper inspection, and it’s now just a regular car — no issues, no visible damage, just a bit of history.
It’s got 18-inch alloy wheels (Aeroblade Diamond Cut bi-tone), LED lights all over, electric windows, heated seats, and a full safety pack — including airbags, parking sensors, hill start assist, and even a rear reversing camera. The seats are split folding, so it’s handy for family trips or when you’re carrying loads.
I’ve also kept the original interior bits — the leather steering wheel, the cupholders, the storage bins, and even the tablet holder for the front passenger. The car’s been HPI-checked and comes with a full warranty — 12 months of AA breakdown cover and a parts and labour warranty from APA Ltd.
I live in Wigton, Cumberland now, so if you’re local or passing through, I’m happy to chat. I don’t expect anyone to jump in, but if you're thinking of getting a reliable, comfortable hatchback that’s not too flashy but actually drives well, this one might be worth a look.
Let me know if you’d like to see it — I can meet up or arrange a quick drive. No pressure, just sharing something I’ve used and liked over the years.
