Description

Got this float valve lying around from a commercial plumbing job I did a few years back. It’s brand new in the original packaging, still sealed and came with the paperwork. The Keraflo Aylesbury KAX-type is a mechanical float valve with a 32mm connection – designed for commercial cold water tanks, especially where you need reliable, consistent water level control.

It’s got a ceramic seal and brass housing, which means it’s built to last without wearing out. The weighted float lets you adjust the water level easily, and it’s designed to stop water hammer and avoid pump hunting. No dribbling, no bounce – just clean on/off operation.

I’ve used it in a pumped system before and noticed how it helped keep the tank full without overfilling, and it actually improved water turnover. Works well even when pressure goes up and down. Also good for Legionella compliance, and it’s built to ISO 9001 standards – just in case you’re doing a full audit.

It’s been sitting in my shed in Tregaron, Ceredigion, and I’m just getting rid of it because I’ve moved on to something else. It’s not a lot of use anymore, but it’s in perfect condition. I’ve had it for a while and it’s never been opened or used.
