Navy Blue Crushed Velvet Sweetheart Midi Dress Size 8

Hey – I’m selling this navy blue crushed velvet midi dress that I made custom back in the 1980s. It’s been sitting in my storage for decades and now it doesn’t fit me anymore, so I’m passing it on to someone who’ll love it.

It’s a sweet sweetheart neckline dress with a touch of sheer organza detail – the kind of dress that looks polished and elegant without being overly flashy. The fabric is definitely crushed velvet with a bit of organza at the edges, and there’s a 22cm slit in the middle after the buttons. The back has a 35cm zip and a v-neck.

There are 23x18mm round buttons (just decorative – not functional), and the dress is unlined. I’ve never had labels sewn in, so I don’t know the exact fabric content, but it looks like a mix of velvet and tulle.

Measurements:
- Length: ~114cm
- Bust: ~38cm (fits a bustline of about 76cm plus – fabric is a bit stretchy)
- Waist: ~34cm (fits a waistline of about 68cm)
- Sleeves: ~58cm

It’s in good condition, used but well cared for. It was stored in a smoke and pet-free home, so it’s safe and clean. There might be a faint storage smell – it’s not unpleasant, and it usually fades after a few wears or dry cleans. I’ve already dry-cleaned it for you, so it’s ready to wear right away.

I’ve never had any garment labels sewn in, so it’s just a nice, elegant piece with no branding. The necklace in the photos is just for display – not included.

I’m doing a big clean-out of old stuff I’ve had in storage for years, and I’ve been selling on Gumtree for a while now. I don’t use the feedback system much because it’s new and I don’t remember it well, but I’d be happy to take feedback if you choose to.
