It’s a 5-door hatchback with 1.5-litre diesel engine, 116bhp, manual gearbox, and Euro 6 emissions – all standard for a proper BMW. The fuel economy’s actually quite good, around 85.6mpg, which I’ve found useful on long drives. I’ve driven it over 100,000 miles (102,919 to be exact), and it’s never had major issues.
