I’ve had this vertical wind turbine kit for a few years now, mostly used it during camping trips and in my garden when the wind was picking up. It’s a 5-blade design, starts working at very low wind speeds, and runs on 12v — perfect for charging small devices or lights. The controller helps manage the power output, so it doesn’t spike. It’s not super high-powered, but it’s been reliable in a few windy spots around Wirksworth, Derbyshire Dales. Works well for off-grid use, though I’ve only used it occasionally.
