Got this old Tempest 007-A key cutter sitting in the shed – always had it on hand when I needed to make a spare key. It’s a dual-purpose machine, so it handles both cylinder and mortice keys. The 2-way jaws and key guide make it easy to use, even if you’re not super technical. Runs on either 12v or 220v, and it’s surprisingly light at just 5kg. Dimensions are 250 x 240 x 150mm – fits neatly in a toolbox. I’ve used it a few times over the years, and it’s still working fine, with a couple of spare parts tucked in. It’s been used but nothing major – just a bit of wear. Retails around £500 new, so it’s a solid deal at £72. If you’re near Portlethen, Aberdeenshire, I can pop it over for a quick collection.
