Description

So I’ve been keeping this one for a few years now — it’s not flashy, but it’s solid, practical, and honestly, it’s the kind of car I’d actually want to drive every day. It’s a 2020 Ford Ecosport with the 1.0 EcoBoost engine, 125bhp, manual gearbox, and that ST-Line styling — all the bits that make it look a bit sportier without being too loud or flashy.

It’s got all the modern stuff: cruise control with intelligent speed assist, DAB radio, SYNC 3 navigation, voice control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and even a 8-inch screen. You can actually control the music, navigation, and phone calls with your voice — pretty handy if you're on a long drive.

Inside, it’s fairly well equipped — heated windscreen, auto-dimming mirrors, power windows, heated door mirrors, and even a little ambient lighting. The seats are comfy, with red stitching on the upholstery (Miko Dinamica cloth with some Sensico trim), and the dashboard has a nice touch with a sunglasses holder and armrest. There’s a lot of storage — under the seats, glovebox, console drawers — and even a cooled glovebox, which I appreciate in the winter.

Safety’s a big deal here — it’s got ABS, traction control, ESP with hill hold assist, pre-collision assist, front and side airbags, curtain airbags, and a tyre pressure monitor. The rear has parking sensors and a camera, and there’s even a trip computer and traffic sign recognition.

I’ve kept it well maintained, and it’s been driven mostly on the road — not much city driving, so it’s still in good shape. The only thing I’d say is that the boot floor is a bit of a mess now — I’ve got a variable floor and a couple of tie-down hooks, which I’ve used for camping trips.

I’ve lived in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire for the past few years, and I’ve been using this car for work and weekends. It’s been reliable, and I didn’t have any major issues. I’m selling it because I’m moving to a different area and just don’t need it anymore.

It’s worth a look — not the flashiest car, but it gets you where you need to go without breaking the bank. Price is £9,900, which I know isn’t cheap, but it’s what I’ve settled on after looking at everything.

If you’re interested, I’m happy to chat — no pressure, just a real person sharing a car they’ve actually used.
