I’ve got this Trek Rail 9.8 GX AXS electric bike sitting in my garage in Edinburgh, Scotland — it’s been my go-to for trail days and long rides, but life’s changed and I’m downsizing.

It’s a proper long-travel carbon e-MTB, built tough with a solid OCLV frame, longer reach, and a big 34.9mm seat tube to handle dropper posts. The Bosch Performance Line CX system is fresh with a 75 key 750Wh battery — that’s a serious range, and the smart features like Bluetooth, ride tracking, and navigation are handy. The system controller’s tucked into the top tube, looks clean, and the mini remote is easy to use.

I’ve got the SRAM GX AXS wireless drivetrain — no cables, just smooth shifting — and it’s been riding like a dream on rough trails and steep climbs. The RockShox forks and shocks are in great shape too. The RIB battery system hides neatly in the frame, and I’ve never had to take it out — just pop it off when needed.

It’s hardly been ridden much — just a few hundred miles, and the pictures show it’s been well looked after. The paint and parts are all intact, no dings, just a bit of wear where you’d expect. I’d say it’s worth a lot more than £4,500, but I’m selling it because of a change in plans.
