17th century oak chest/coffer

Description
Got this old chest/coffer in my shed in uttoxeter, East Staffordshire – it’s a proper 17th century piece, solid oak with real keys still in it. The lid opens up nicely and the inside is clean and dry, no rot or damage at all. It’s a bit heavy, which is good – feels like it’s been well cared for over the years. I’ve been using it as a blanket box at the end of my bed, and it’s perfect for that. Could also work as a coffee table with the glass on top, or just as a general storage box. Measures about 45 inches long by 24 inches deep and wide. I’m not sure how it got to me, but it’s been sitting in the shed for ages, and I thought I’d share it.
