This 2014 Volkswagen Polo SE is a solid, well-maintained hatchback I’ve been using for years – it’s been a real pleasure to drive. It’s a 1.0 litre petrol, Euro 6 compliant, manual transmission model, so it’s efficient and easy to keep running. I bought it as a trade-in and it’s been a great first car – starts every time, runs smoothly, and doesn’t need a lot of fuss.

The fuel economy is actually pretty good – I’ve averaged around 60 miles per gallon, which is better than most similar cars. It’s also low tax and insurance group, so running costs are kept down. The colour is nice and it’s not flashy, just clean and practical.

It’s got manual air conditioning, Bluetooth for phone calls and music, and the safety features are solid – like pretensioner belts. The car’s been well looked after and has low mileage, which means it’s still in great shape.

I’ve kept it in ty-croes, Stad Y Felin, so it’s easy to get to if you’re around there. I’ve had it serviced regularly and it comes with a full MOT history. If you’re looking for a reliable, low-cost hatchback that doesn’t break the bank, this one’s a good fit.
