Description

So, I’ve been holding onto these plates for about 6 months now — they’re just sitting in a cupboard, collecting dust. Got them as a gift, not something I planned to keep, so figured it was time to part with them.

They’re the OH 63 ECK private number plate — square ones, which makes sense because they were originally for a motorbike. That means they’ll work on any vehicle: cars, vans, 4x4s like a Discovery — you don’t need to buy new plates. Just pop them on and you’re good to go.

The plates are brand new, never been on a vehicle. Still have the protective film on — just in case you’re wondering. The transfer fee and the V750 certificate of entitlement have already been paid, so all you need to do is register them online with the DVLA. It’s quick — minutes, really. Once that’s done, you can install them on any car.

Just a quick note: you *have* to let your insurance company know. Otherwise, the police might stop you for no insurance. That’s not funny — it’s a real thing.

They’re currently on retention, which lasts 10 years. I’ve only had them for a couple of months, so they’re still in great condition.

What I’m looking for:
- The transfer fee and certificate (already paid, so no need to pay that again)
- The cost of the actual plates (they’re £21)
- The cost of the private number itself (OH 63 ECK)

Now, “Oh… ECK” — yeah, that’s a funny one to say out loud. My friends know why it’s funny, but I can’t tell you the story. It’s just something we’ve had for years. Easy to remember, though — OH 63 ECK.

I bought them for £687 originally — that included everything. I’m hoping to sell them close to that, nothing more. Offers are welcome, but no silly ones. If someone offers £550, that’s fair — I’ll take it.

They’re not cheap, and I know people will say “oh, that’s cheap” — but it’s not. You can see the original price.

If you’re interested, just drop me a message. No pressure, no nonsense.

Thanks,
Jane
