Audi A3 2006 hatchback manual 3 doors

Got this Audi A3 from 2006 — it’s a 2.0 petrol, manual, three-door hatch. It’s been mot tested and runs fine, last service was two months ago. Just had a full brake job — new rear pads and discs, plus a caliper — so it’s been properly looked after. The problem is with the gears, especially 1st. It drives smooth when moving, but when I try to shift into first, it feels off. Not a big deal, but it’s noticeable. The exhaust has a bit of a blow — not loud, just a bit of a hiss — but I’ve had a new battery in, so that’s sorted. Tires are all good and well maintained. It’s sitting at roy-bridge, Bunroy Road. If you’re interested, I’m thinking of either going with it for £540 or swapping it for a van — depends on what you’ve got in mind.
