2024 MG ZS 1.0T GDi Exclusive 5-door hatchback
Description
So I’ve got this 2024 MG ZS 1.0T GDi Exclusive – the one with the sharp design, clean lines, and that nice touchscreen. It’s got a 10.1-inch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so you can just plug in your phone and use it like it’s built in. There’s a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and parking sensors – really handy if you live in a tight spot like Colwyn Bay.Inside, it’s pretty well put together – leather seats with contrast stitching, a 6-speaker system with 3D sound, DAB and radio, USB/aux, and even a trip computer. The seats are comfy, front ones are heated, and there’s a decent amount of space in the back with a 60/40 split folding second row and three headrests.
Tech side: cruise control with speed limiter, eCall emergency system, digital dash info, PAS, and a full suite of driver aids. The headlights are LED, with follow-me-home and rain-sensing wipers. All the windows are electric, front and rear, with driver’s one-touch up/down. There’s also a boot light, cupholders, grab handles, and even a footrest for the driver.
I’ve kept it well-maintained, and it’s got all the safety stuff – airbags, ABS, ESP, tyre pressure monitoring, alarm, immobiliser, and even a hill launch assist. The wheels are 17-inch Tomahawk alloy, silver roof rails, and body-colour bumpers and door handles.
I bought it new through a trusted dealer network – Glyn Hopkin – which has over 30 dealerships across the UK and handles a lot of MGs, Nissans, and other brands. They’ve got a solid reputation for service and quality, and I’ve been happy with how it’s been maintained.
It’s been in Colwyn Bay since I moved here, and I’ve just decided to part with it. It’s a solid little car – not flashy, but practical, well-equipped, and easy to drive.
Price is £14,976 – I’ll be honest, it’s a bit steep for what it is, but it’s what I paid and what it’s worth. If you’re looking for a reliable, tech-packed hatchback with good value, this one’s been on the market a while and I think it’s time to move on.
No fancy marketing – just a real car, in a real place, for a real person.
