Gallant Knight Academy 19 Indoor Table Tennis Table
Description
This is the Gallant Knight Academy 19 – what used to be called the i-S12 – and it’s a solid, sturdy table that’s perfect if you’ve got a youth club or school looking for something that can handle regular play. It’s a two-piece table, so it’s easy to store when not in use – folds down to just 60cm deep, which makes it a real space-saver.The frame’s got hammered paint on it, which helps it hold up better against scratches, and the corners have little protectors to keep them safe. One thing that stands out is that you can level it properly from both the legs and the wheels – not many tables let you do that, so if you’re the kind of person who cares about perfect alignment, this one’s a keeper.
It’s 275cm long x 153cm wide x 77cm high, so you’ll need about 5.1m x 3.3m of clear space to play in (that’s just a guideline, though). The metal base is thick – 40mm x 40mm – and the playing surface is 19mm thick, with a strong metal edge. All the wheels have brakes, which means it’s safer when you’re moving it around.
It’s not for outdoor use, and it doesn’t come with a net or bats – those are separate. The table weighs 93kg, and the package weighs 98kg.
I’ve had it for a few years and it’s held up really well. I’m moving to Barrow-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire, so it’s time to find a new home. It’s in good shape and ready to go to a club or someone who’s just getting into table tennis.
Priced at £90 – not too bad for something this solid.
