I’ve had this 2011 Toyota Verso S for a few years now and it’s been my go-to car for everything – commuting, family trips, even weekend drives to the countryside near Devizes. It’s a solid, no-nonsense MPV that actually works well for real life, not just showroom specs.

The car’s got a sleek satin blue finish that’s still looking great – it’s not flashy, but it stands out just enough on the road. I noticed it keeps the cabin cooler in hot weather, which is a small but useful thing when you’re driving in the summer. Inside, the black Serra Cloth seats feel comfortable and don’t show wear easily. I’ve had kids in it, so it’s been through a bit of action, but nothing’s really worn down.

It’s a manual, front-wheel drive, 1.33-litre engine with 98bhp – not the fastest, but it’s smooth and responsive. The only thing I’d mention is that it’s been used regularly, so it’s not a show car. It’s not a luxury model, but it does the job. I’m keeping it because it’s reliable, practical, and actually feels like a proper family car.
