Got this 2023 Beta X-Trainer 300cc sitting in my garage in Gloucester, Gloucestershire — it’s been used every day for trail riding, not just showy rides, just proper off-road work. Motor runs smooth, sounds great, and everything’s been checked out. Top end rebuilt, 2024 decal kit on, and it’s clean inside and out — looks like it’s been lovingly maintained.

V5 is with me, and I’ve had it through a few rides — 98 hours total. It’s road registered and ready to go whenever you’re ready. Finance is possible if you’re interested, and I can arrange nationwide delivery starting at £95 + VAT.

This bike has a bit of history — I’ve been riding and working with motorcycles for over 50 years, starting in London, then moving to Northamptonshire in 1964 where I opened up what’s now John Lee Motorcycles. Over the years, I’ve worked with Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and all the big trials brands.

My son Jack was a works rider for James and BSA, and won the South Midland Trials Championship seven years running — still a record. He’s back now, running a dedicated competition workshop, and actually won the 85 Wild and Woolly MX on a snowy Boxing Day in 2010.

My other son Charley runs the shop day-to-day, handles spares, and’s a solid rider too — finished second in the South Midland Championship in 2010. David’s the one who does the road bikes — Honda-trained, competes in the Honda Mechanic of the Year, and’s been with us for over 30 years.

Lesley’s mostly in the office, but she’s hands-on when needed.

We’re a family-run shop — open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, Saturday 8.30am to 1pm, Sunday closed.
