So, I’ve had this 2017 Suzuki Vitara SZ5 DDIS all-grip hatchback for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. It’s metallic gold, so it doesn’t look like a showroom car — just a proper, solid-looking one that’s been treated with care. Inside and out, it’s in great shape, and it drives just as well as it looks.

It’s a diesel, so it’s got that quiet, smooth power — I’ve got it to 70mpg on the road, which is pretty solid for a 4x4. Low CO2 too, at 111g/km, so it’s not bad for the planet either. The features are a bit of a surprise — I didn’t expect how much it had. Sat-nav, Bluetooth hands-free, DAB radio, USB, cruise control, climate control, sunroof, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and start, alloy wheels — you name it, it’s there.

I’ve also got the 12V socket, height-adjustable driver’s seat, electric mirrors, heated door mirrors, power windows, and even ISOFIX for kids. It’s got a full safety package — airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control, and even a tyre pressure monitor. The seats fold easily, and the boot space is more than enough for a family or weekend trips.

I picked it up back in 2017, and it’s been through a few different jobs — not much, just regular use and some careful maintenance. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, quiet, and gets you where you need to go without fuss.
