Description

This Freelander 2 is a solid, well-maintained diesel SUV I’ve had for a few years now – it’s been through a timing belt job, so it’s running smoothly and reliably. It’s not flashy, but it’s got loads of practical features that make it great for both the countryside and city driving.

Inside, it’s got leather electric seats, a sat nav with voice activation, automatic headlights, and a panoramic sunroof that lets in all the daylight. The 2.2-litre diesel engine has plenty of punch when you need it – whether you're hitting hills or just cruising on the motorway. It’s not loud or aggressive, just steady and dependable.

The finish is grand black lacquer, with body side mouldings and a nice set of 19-inch alloy wheels – they’re diamond-turned and dark painted, so they look sharp without being too flashy. There’s a 7-inch touchscreen with a full Meridian sound system, DAB, aux input, and Bluetooth. I’ve used it for loads of long drives, and it’s been quiet and reliable.

Safety is a big thing for me – it’s got everything from full driver and passenger airbags, head curtain airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, hill descent control, and even a parking sensor. The alarm and fog lights are also good.

It’s parked in Stockport, Greater Manchester, so it’s easy to get to if you’re local. I’ve had it checked by a qualified mechanic, and it’s HPI clear. The only thing I’ll say is it’s a bit on the heavy side, but that’s not a bad thing – it handles rough terrain well.

I’ve had it for a few years, and it’s been well looked after. I’m not selling it because I need cash, just because I’ve moved on to something different. It’s still in great shape, and I’m happy to chat about it if you’re interested.
