So, I’ve had this 2018 Kia Sportage for a few years now — it’s been my daily driver through a lot of seasons, from winter to summer, and honestly, it’s held up really well. It’s a grey one, with 17-inch alloy wheels and a clean, practical interior. I bought it new and kept it well maintained, so it’s still running smoothly.

What I love about it is how easy it is to use — Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both working fine, the sat nav’s got traffic updates, and there’s a decent 6-speaker system. The climate control’s good, and the seats are heated, which is a real bonus in the cold. I’ve used the parking sensors and reverse camera plenty, and they’ve come in handy a few times.

The cabin’s tidy — plenty of storage, cup holders, central armrest, even a little coat hook in the back. The roof rails and side mouldings give it a bit of a grown-up look, and the interior trim is black cloth with some leather bits on the gearshift and door armrests. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid.

I’ve kept it on the road with regular servicing, and it’s never been in a crash. The only thing I’ll say is that the manual gearbox takes a bit of getting used to at first, but once you’ve driven it a few times, it’s not a problem.

I’m moving to Hexham, Northumberland, and I’m selling it now because I’m looking to switch to something a bit more modern. It’s not the newest model, but it’s reliable, practical, and has all the basics — great for family use, or just getting around town.
