2016 Volkswagen Polo 1.0 BlueMotion Tech SE Hatchback
Description
I’ve had this 2016 Volkswagen Polo for a few years now and it’s been one of my most reliable cars — especially for commuting around Dolgellau, Gwynedd. It’s a solid little hatchback with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and BlueMotion tech, which means it’s pretty efficient without sacrificing drive quality. I’ve used it for both daily commutes and longer trips, and it’s been a real pleasure to drive — not too loud, not too heavy, just about right. The interior feels a bit more premium than you’d expect for a base model, with good materials and plenty of storage. I love the central console, the cup holders, and the way the seats fit without feeling cramped. The rear seats are usable too, and there’s ISOFIX prep for kids’ seats if you ever need it.
It’s got a lot of smart bits: DAB radio, aux-in, Bluetooth, touchscreen, heated rear windscreen, and rear parking sensors. The tinted glass and black dashboard give it a clean, modern look, and the alloy wheels look decent even after a few years.
I’ve kept it well maintained, and it’s HPI clear — no admin fees, no hidden issues. Road tax is just £20, and it’s ULEZ compliant, so no problems if you’re driving in London or other areas with the scheme. Insurance is low group, which makes it cheaper to insure.
I’m not selling it for a big profit — it’s just time to move on. It’s been a great car for daily use, and I’ve actually saved a fair bit on fuel and upkeep. If you’re looking for something practical, reliable, and not too flashy, this one’s been a solid choice.
If you’re interested, I can share the inspection report and talk through the details. Delivery to Dolgellau is possible — just let me know. I’ll be honest, it’s not a flashy car, but it does what it needs to do well.
