Description

Got this Raleigh road bike from a barnard-castle, County Durham shed — it’s been sitting in a barn for years, mostly just collecting dust, but I finally decided to part with it. It’s a proper 54cm frame with oval tubing and Reynolds steel, built for medium-height riders. All original specs — the decals, the paint, the batch numbers — nothing has been swapped out. It’s got that classic Raleigh feel: smooth, stable, and really responsive.

It’s a 10-speed, Shimano setup, with sealed bottom bracket and super smooth bearings. The wheels are 700c, true and light, and the brakes are sharp and reliable — great for tight city riding or just getting around without feeling like you're fighting the road.

I’ve been using it for local rides, mostly around the county, and it’s held up well. I don’t expect it to win races, but it’s solid for everyday use — especially if you’re into inner-city routes or just want a bike that feels good in your hands.

It’s not cheap, but it’s not flashy either — just a well-made, honest bike. Price is £180, but that’s not the point. I’m happy to show it off or let you take a test ride if you’re interested. No fancy modifications, no cheap parts — just what it came with.

If you’re in the area or nearby, just give me a shout. I’ve got a few other bikes too — Bianchi, Cervelo, Colnago, Trek, and a few others — but this one’s the one I’m letting go of first.
