Got this 2018 Vauxhall Adam i Energised for a bit of a drive, and honestly, it’s been a solid little car for city living. It’s got that 1.2-litre petrol engine, Euro 6 compliant, and runs pretty smoothly—good for getting around town without burning too much fuel. I’ve driven it a fair bit, and it’s been reliable, especially on the roads around Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

Inside, the R4.0 IntelliLink screen is a bit of a treat—works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so I can just plug in my phone and keep going. Bluetooth for music and calls too, which is nice. Aircon’s working well, so it’s comfortable whether it’s hot or cold. There’s also ESP and safety belt pretensioners, which I figured were a decent safety net.

Fuel economy’s up to 58mpg, which isn’t bad for a small hatchback. And the insurance group is low, so running costs don’t spike—something I really appreciate.
