Description

This little 1:87 scale tram model is a real throwback — built by United Electric in Preston back in the day. It’s a faithful representation of the kind of tram that powered cities and towns across Britain and Ireland in the 1920s, and some of them actually lasted into the 1950s, even through the war when fuel was tight.

I’ve had it stored for about 25 years, mostly just sitting in a box, and only recently pulled it out to take a photo. It’s in perfect condition now, back in its original box with all the markings intact. The building in the background is just for the photo — not part of the model itself.

One thing I noticed: the box mentions a “Tram Museum,” but that’s actually Crich Tramway Village — in Derbyshire. Crich, not Crick. And it’s pronounced “Cry-ch.” A real gem — there’s a whole collection of vintage trams there, including Blackpool and Liverpool ones. Free rides, fairs, music, you name it — great for families.

It’s packed securely and I can send it via postage for £3.69 — or you can just come pick it up at Old Hall in Tavistock, West Devon. Price is £10.80 if you’re interested.
