Fiat Grande Punto Sporting 2009, 5-door hatchback, 1.4 turbo
Description
So I’ve been keeping this Fiat Grande Punto Sporting for a bit over a year now, and honestly, it’s been a solid little car to drive around — especially given how reliable it is. It’s a 2009 model, 1.4 turbo, 1368cc, five doors, and I’m just not using it anymore since I moved to Waltham Cross, Broxbourne and started working in a new place. The engine’s been a real workhorse — 120hp, 40 MPG, and I’ve kept it properly maintained with 11 services, the last one in July. I’ve also had the starter motor and a nearside front tyre replaced during my ownership. The Kenwood DAB radio with Bluetooth and hands-free calls is a nice touch, and it’s been a bit of a joy to use.
It comes with two keys, a stack of invoices, receipts, and all the paperwork from the last 16 years — just in case you want to dig through the history. The top-spec Sporting trim means it’s got rear parking sensors, cruise control, hill start assist, traction control, leather steering wheel and handbrake, plus ABS, power steering, and air conditioning (which I’d say could use a little re-gas).
MOT is still good for another 10 months — I’ve also fixed the CV boot and polished the headlights, both of which were minor issues on the last MOT.
That said, there are a few small things: a tiny windscreen chip, a small crack in the front bumper, and some age-related marks and scratches. Front discs will likely need replacing in the next 5000 miles. Also, the headlights stay on when the ignition’s on (a common Fiat thing), so they’re always running — doesn’t drain the battery, but it’s a bit of a quirk.
It’s not flashy, but it’s cheap to run, very reliable, and quick for a small hatch. I’ve kept it smoke and pet free — just a normal, everyday car. Private plate included.
If you’re interested or want to see it, just drop me a message or give me a call. Open to offers — I’m not looking for a big price, just a fair one.
