Honestly, this Skoda Superb SE L Estate is one of those cars that just feels right. I got it through a part exchange from a local guy in Rowlands Gill — Ian — who owned it for seven years and loved it. He swapped it for a BMW X3 we had on hand, and it’s been sitting in our fleet ever since.

It’s a 2.0-litre diesel with 148 bhp — not flashy, but plenty of grunt for a family car. On the highway, it’s averaging around 60–65 mpg, which is pretty solid for a larger estate. The body’s Candy White with 19-inch silver alloys and rear privacy glass — looks sharp and feels roomy inside.

Inside, it’s all black leather, heated front seats, and a big touchscreen with sat-nav, DAB, and Bluetooth. The sound system is decent too. There’s cruise control, voice commands, rear parking sensors, and park assist — all things that make driving less stressful, especially when you’ve got kids or groceries in the back.
