I’ve had these Mary Poppins books for years – all five from P.L. Travers, the HarperCollins Modern Classics series. They’re the ones you see in every classic version of the story, all in perfect condition. No notes, no marks, just clean pages. I kept them on my shelf in a quiet, smoke-free room in Solihull, West Midlands – never stored in a drawer or piled up. They’ve been gently read over the years, mostly by my kids when they were little. Still feel like they’ve got a lot of life left.
