So, I’ve got this 2015 Mercedes Actros 2548 Streamspace 6x2 rear lift tractor — it’s been my main workhorse for years, and honestly, I’m not going to lie, it’s been a solid ride. It’s got the MP4 sleeper cab, a 480bhp turbo air-to-air cooled Euro 6 engine, and a 12-speed Telligent semi-automatic gearbox. The tipping hydraulics are gear-driven, and there’s a chassis-mounted alloy oil tank with in-cab controls — really handy for day-to-day use.

It’s got a single reduction drive axle with diff lock, air suspension on both the drive axle and rear lift axle, and a sliding fifth wheel. The cab has a lot of nice touches — leather interior, heated driver’s seat with lumbar support, programmable night heater, electric windows, mirrors, and sunroof. Climate control’s digital, and there’s a radio/CD player, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, and even a 24v auxiliary socket.

The cabin’s tidy — overhead and underbunk storage, and the aluminium fuel tank and chassis catwalk are a nice touch. I’ve kept it well maintained, so it’s in excellent condition. MOT runs until October 31, 2025, and the mileage’s at 582,755 km. It’s got a GVW of 44 tonnes and’s been a real workhorse without losing much in terms of reliability or comfort.

I’ve lived in Pontypool, Torfaen for a few years now and it’s just not the right fit anymore — so I’m parting ways with it.
