Toyota Aygo 1.0 VVT X-Press 5-door Hatchback
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this little Aygo for a few years now — it’s been my go-to for commuting and weekend trips around Coggeshall, Braintree. It’s a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 68 horsepower, manual gearbox, and that sweet 68.9 mpg on the combined cycle — really efficient for a small hatchback. It’s in bold black premium metallic, and the miles are just over 30k — not bad at all. I’ve kept it well maintained, with service records at 7,821, 14,410, 18,088, and 27,738 miles. I’ve even had a proper service done before I decided to part with it — just to make sure it’s in top shape.
Inside, it’s got a touchscreen radio with Bluetooth, DAB, climate control, rear-view camera, and those 15-inch black alloy wheels. There’s also a USB port, auxiliary, rear seat isofix, and even dusk-sensing headlights. It’s not flashy, but it’s got all the basics and feels solid to drive — especially in the city or on winding roads.
I’ve had it serviced and tested by a proper mechanic, and it runs smoothly. It’s a great first car if you’re new to driving — not too big, not too complicated, and it’s got a group 7E insurance rating.
I’ve lived in Coggeshall for a while now, so I know the roads and traffic — it’s been reliable and easy to park in the town.
The price is £7,199.10 — not bad for something this small and practical. If you’re thinking of a low-maintenance, reliable hatchback that doesn’t eat your fuel budget, this one’s worth a look.
If you’d like to see it in person, or just chat about it, I’m happy to arrange a quick drive or even a video call. I’m not selling it just to get rid of it — I’ve actually used it a lot, and it’s been solid through the years.
Let me know if you’re interested — I’ll be honest, it’s one of the few cars I’ve kept around for a long time without needing a major repair.
