1989 Honda CB1 400cc Japanese Import with 54bhp

Got this bike sitting in my garage in Oakham, Rutland, and honestly, it’s one of those bikes that just feels right. It’s a 1989 G-Reg Honda CB1, Japanese import, 4-cylinder, gear-driven cam engine – runs around 54bhp, low seat height, light weight, super fun to ride. I’ve had it serviced recently and it’s got a new MOT, so it’s ready to go for summer rides.

It’s clocked up about 40,500km (25,200 miles), which is nothing to write home about for a bike this age – it’s been well looked after. I’ve been meaning to get it out and about for a while, so I’m putting it up for a quick look.

If you’re thinking about checking it out, please don’t just show up hoping to see it – I’ll only let you in if you book a time. No point in you travelling all the way just to find it’s gone.

Now, a quick note – we specialise in classic bikes, mostly 20-40 year old Hondas. That means there’ll be some wear and tear – rust spots, some marks, maybe a crack or two. Nothing major, but it’s not a new bike, so don’t expect it to be spotless.
