So, I’ve been looking at this boat for a while now and finally decided to part with it — not because I don’t love her, but because I’ve got other plans and this one’s just too special to keep sitting idle.

It’s a Colvic Northerner 26, converted into a trawler yacht — solid build, built to last. The hull’s been well cared for, no leaks anywhere, and the wheelhouse is actually quite spacious for an 8m boat. I’ve had it out of the water for a bit, so it’s easy to see what’s inside and what’s still in good shape.

Inside’s been refitted fresh — clean, tidy, and feels like it’s ready to live in. The galley’s got a gas cooker, grill, stainless sink, and storage. Good lighting, working electrics, navigation lights, Bluetooth stereo, and a hydraulic steering system with steel rudder. The engine’s still there, just needs re-powering — diesel or electric, depending on what you’re after.

I’ve got a full set of tools, a dust extractor, new fuel and water tanks, a header tank, radar, AIS, and a few extras like a water boiler, heater, fan, and vacuum — most of these I’d be happy to include.

She’s based in Whitwick, Thringstone, right on the edge of Chichester Harbour — one of the best places for cruising in the UK. Direct access to the beach and marina, with all the facilities on-site (even if it’s not officially a residential berth).

I’ve been thinking about using her for a bit of liveaboard time while I finish a project, or maybe just go back to fishing — or even build it into a proper cruising yacht. The potential’s there.

I’m not selling it for a long time — just getting it out of the way and moving on. The price is £13,050, but that’s not the point. This is just a boat I’ve had a real connection with, and I’m happy to hand her over to someone who sees the same potential.
