Description
This old theodolite was made by E.R.Watts & Son in 1946, part of a military survey set used by the MOD. It’s a solid piece with original markings and a clean brass finish—still works well for basic leveling tasks. I picked it up at a local estate sale in Cwmbran, Torfaen, and kept it for years as a hobby project. It’s not flashy, but it’s accurate and useful for small-scale land measurements or DIY jobs. Still in good shape, just needs a little cleaning and some oil to keep the gears turning. I’ve used it a few times over the years, mostly for garden layout work.
