19th Century Mahogany Regency Chairs

Description

These are two early 19th-century Regency chairs, both in solid mahogany with that classic ladder-back style – the kind you see in old parlours. They’ve got saber back legs and turned front legs, and the seats are slightly curved, which was very typical of the period. They’re not pristine, but they’re solid and show the kind of wear you’d expect from a piece this old. One chair has a bit of give in the back seat joint, so if you’re looking for something with a bit of TLC, that’s something to note.

They’re about 79cm tall, seat height is 43cm, width 48cm, and depth 45cm – not huge, but they’ll fit nicely in a smaller room or as a statement piece. I’m based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, so collection from Old Stratford is a bit of a stretch, but I’m happy to meet up for a quick pickup.

Priced at £54 – not a lot, really, just happy to part with them after years of use.
