Antique Drop Leaf Dining Table and 6 Chairs

Description

My granddad’s old dining set – the table and six chairs, all in one piece. I found them tucked away in the garage in Highland, Scotland, behind a pile of old boxes and a few gardening tools. Not sure how old they are, no maker’s marks to be found, and they’re covered in dust and cobwebs – which I’m pretty sure is just the result of decades of being left alone.

When fully opened, it’s about 150cm x 90cm, and when closed, it’s 50cm x 90cm – so it fits in a small kitchen or could even work in a converted studio. I’ve kept it dry and stored it properly, just like it was meant to be.

I’m not really sure how to describe the wood – it’s not flashy, but it’s solid. The chairs are all matching, and the table has a nice, slightly worn finish.

I’ve only just realised I’m selling it, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to deliver it – if you’re local to Highland, Scotland, I’d be happy to meet up and collect it. Otherwise, I can do a few trips if we agree on petrol costs.
