Description

This one’s from 1973 — Captain America & The Falcon #164. The issue has that classic "You bore me Nightshade. Goodbye!" line, and it’s got a bit of action: a man in a Captain America suit gets attacked by werewolves, only for Nightshade to stop it at the last second. Meanwhile, the real Cap and Falcon are riding motorcycles, feeling pretty good about the world. Cap agrees to help Falcon check out a plea from Mel Lansing, who’s locked up in Grimrock Prison.

It’s a 5.0 — second-hand, read through, with some marks and wear. The print lustre is faded a bit but nothing’s stained or taped except for a tiny bit of magic tape to fix a tear. Spine’s showing some wear, a little roll at the start, and one staple’s a bit loose. Pages are slightly yellowing, with just the tiniest browning at the edges. Cover might have a small tear or crease, and the centrefold could have come loose — but no pages or parts are missing. It’s all there, complete as far as I can tell.

I’ve kept it in a box for years, and it’s from Basildon, Essex. I’ve only recently moved, so it’s been sitting in a drawer. I’m not sure how much it’s worth, but it’s still a solid copy for a British comic from that era — not pristine, but not bad at all. Price’s £17.09, but I’m just passing it on.
