Got this Captain America #165 from 1973 — the one where he's up against giant tarantulas in New York. The Yellow Claw’s back and Steve’s on the case, pushing the spiders back into the sewers before tracking them to the bad guy’s hideout.It’s a 5.5 — not flashy, not pristine, but still readable and solid. A bit of edge wear, some corner curl, and a small mark or two on the cover. Pages are a little yellowed, but no brown edges, so it’s not bad. The staple’s slightly loose, but the rest of it’s still flat and clean.
I’ve kept it stored carefully over the years — not a showpiece, just something I’ve had around and read a few times. For British comics, a bit more wear is normal, especially on corners. This one’s not perfect, but it’s still in decent shape and has a nice story.
Sold for £6.29 — just a quick sale, not a big deal. It’s in west-sussex, England, so if you’re local, no hassle getting it.
