This is a large original mixed media painting of the Mercedes SSK racing car – I found it tucked away in a box at my place in billingham, Stockton-on-Tees. It was probably painted around the 1960s, maybe at Brooklands, given the style and details. I’ve had it professionally refinished and re-framed to look clean and modern, so it’s not just a dusty old piece – it’s actually quite sharp and stands up well as a display piece. I’ve been meaning to share it with someone who’d appreciate the history behind it. It’s not much, just a piece of racing memorabilia I’ve kept around for years. Price is £81, but I’m just saying it in case anyone’s interested.
