Champion 2000W Dual Fuel Inverter Generator (Petrol & LPG)
Description
So I’ve had this Champion 2000W dual fuel generator for a few years now, and honestly, it’s been a real lifesaver. I bought it for my campsite and use it mostly when the power goes out — or when I’m out boating or just need a reliable backup. It runs on both petrol and LPG, which is a big plus. I’ve never had to worry about running out of fuel mid-use, especially since it’s got a cold start feature, so it starts up even in the cold. The switch between fuels is super easy — just flip it over and you’re good to go.
It’s not flashy, but it works really well. The noise is quiet for a generator — about 53dBA at 7m — so it doesn’t bother anyone if you’re camping or using it in a garden. I’ve used it in all sorts of conditions, from a backyard BBQ to powering a motorhome, and it’s been solid every time.
The display shows you the power output, oil levels, and fuel levels clearly. There’s even a low oil shut-off, which is a nice safety feature. I’ve also used the economy mode a few times — it cuts down on fuel use and noise, which is great if you’re using it for longer periods.
I’ve kept it spotless and haven’t used it much, so it’s in near-mint condition. Just needs a gas hose to run on LPG — I’ve got that on hand. It’s been a reliable workhorse, and I’m not going to sell it just because I’ve got a new one.
It’s based in Witham, Braintree, and I’m selling it because I’m moving house and don’t need it anymore. It’s worth £342, but I’m just getting rid of it for space and simplicity. If you’re looking for something reliable and quiet that can handle both petrol and LPG, this one’s been a real go-to.
