55-inch QLED 4K TV with TiVo and Dolby Atmos

So I’ve been using this TV for a few months now and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my setup. It’s a 55-inch QLED 4K model from 2024, the 55QT24SB – not flashy, but the picture quality is actually pretty good, especially with Dolby Vision and Atmos. I’ve watched a lot of movies and shows on it, and it really brings the viewing experience to life.

It’s got a solid 4K resolution (3840x2160), HDR support, and a 50Hz motion rate – not a powerhouse, but more than enough for everyday use. The sound is decent, with a dual 10W speaker setup, and I’ve used the Dolby Atmos a few times and it’s noticeable when you’re watching something with spatial audio.

I’ve got it set up with Freeview and Saorview (which only works in Ireland, so that’s a bit of a niche thing), and it plays smooth with Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, and Amazon Prime. I can also use it like a monitor – plug in a PC or camera via HDMI, and it works fine.

It has two USB ports (great for playing photos or videos from a stick), three HDMI inputs, and a headphone jack. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both built in, so no need for extra dongles. I also use the voice search feature a lot – just say “play a show” or “find something on Netflix” and it finds it without any fiddling.

The TV weighs 12.5kg with the stand (same as without), and it’s got a 1.5m cable. It’s 55 inches diagonally, with a stand that’s about 93cm wide. I’ve mounted it on the wall using a 200x200 bracket – works great.

I’m moving to northfleet, Gravesham, and I’ve decided to part with it. It’s been a solid companion for my living room, and I’ve kept it in good shape. It’s not brand new, but it’s still in excellent condition and runs smoothly.
