Neff GI7813E30G 56cm Built In Freezer
Description
So I’ve been keeping this freezer in my longhope, Orkney Islands home for a few years now — it’s been a real workhorse, especially with the cold, damp weather here. It’s a Neff GI7813E30G, 56cm built-in model, and I’ve just decided to part with it because I’m moving into a smaller kitchen setup. It’s got that A++ energy rating, so it’s pretty efficient — only uses about 1kWh per day, which is good for a freezer that size. The freezer’s frost-free, so no more defrosting ever — just pop things in and go. I love the left-hinged door too, makes it easier to reach the back shelves.
The inside has 5 freezer drawers, glass shelves, and a super freeze function that kicks in when you need it. It’ll freeze 20kg in 24 hours, and even if the power goes out, it’ll keep things safe for up to 22 hours. There’s also a freshSense system that keeps the temperature steady, which I found really helpful when storing things like cheese or frozen veggies.
It’s a bit older now — it’s actually B-grade, which means it was returned to the manufacturer for some minor issues, like a small shelf scratch or packaging damage. Not a big deal, though, and it still runs perfectly fine. The noise level is quiet at 38dB, so it doesn’t bother the neighbours (or the rest of the house).
Dimensions are 177cm high, 56cm wide — fits nicely in my kitchen. It’s climate class SN-T, so it’ll handle the Orkney weather just fine. I’ve used it for years, and it’s been reliable.
I’m not putting it up for sale, just giving it away — it’s been a great companion through all the winters here. If you're in the Orkney Islands or nearby and need something reliable, it’s worth a look. Price is £629.10 — a bit less than the original, but still a solid piece for the money.
