2018 Kia Ceed 1.4T GDi 3-door hatchback
Description
I’ve had this 2018 Kia Ceed for a few years now, and it’s been a real workhorse for my daily commute and weekend trips. It’s a 1.4T petrol engine, Euro 6 compliant, and gets around 40 mpg – nothing flashy, but it’s smooth and reliable. The 0 to 60 is a bit on the slow side at 8.6 seconds, but I don’t race, I just want something that gets me where I need to go without fuss.Inside it’s clean and tidy – the dual climate control keeps things comfortable, especially in the summer. I’ve got the rear parking sensors and a reversing camera with dynamic guidelines, which honestly made parking a lot easier, especially when I’m not in the mood to fumble with mirrors.
It also plays nice with my phone – Android Auto with voice control means I can navigate or answer calls without taking my hands off the wheel. That’s a small thing, but it adds up. The boot’s decent too – not huge, but more than enough for groceries or a couple of kids’ toys.
It’s been well looked after, no major repairs, and the electrics and aircon are all working fine. I’ve got ESP, safety belt pretensioners, and all the standard safety stuff.
It’s sitting in my garage in Spalding, South Holland, and I’m looking to part ways with it. Price is £8,095.50 – I know it’s not cheap, but it’s a solid little car that’s done its job well. If you’re thinking of getting a practical, no-nonsense hatchback that doesn’t need to be fancy, this might be something you’d actually enjoy.
