I’ve got this tankard from the official royal wedding china collection — the one that came out when William and Kate got married back in 2011. It’s handcrafted in Stoke-on-Trent, and was personally approved by both the prince and princess. The design has their initials, the prince’s coronet, and the wedding date, all in that classic royal style. Each piece was individually made, then layered with gold and platinum, and finished with a hand-applied 22-carat gold gilding — it’s a real work of art. It’s brand new and still comes in the original box, which is a bit of a charm in itself. I’ve kept it safe for years, and it’s just sitting in a drawer now. I’m moving to Narberth, Pembrokeshire, so I’m passing it on — it’s not a fancy piece, just a heartfelt keepsake from the wedding.
