Description

So, I’ve been keeping this old PUCH bike for a while now — built in the 80s in Austria, classic steel frame, 5-speed, alloy wheels. It’s a proper vintage road bike, not fancy or shiny, but it’s solid and actually works great for daily commutes.

I took it to the workshop at Bow Wharf, right next to PureGym, on Grove Road, London E3. They did a full check — brakes and gears are all good, bottom bracket was replaced recently, and it’s been adjusted to ride smoothly. The paint’s a bit patchy with scratches and rust, which honestly makes it look like it’s been lived in, but that’s also kind of funny — no one’s gonna try to steal it because it looks like it’s from a movie set.

It’s a light, comfy Dutch-style handlebar, 700c wheels, tyres are 700x32, and it fits someone around 170–175cm. I’ve actually tested it on the bike workshop floor — it’s stable, responsive, and gets you from A to B just like a new bike would.

It’s been sitting in Longhope, Orkney Islands, so if you’re in the area or nearby, I can sort a ride or drop it off. I’ve kept it clean and in good shape, just like I’d want to keep my own ride.

Price is £108 — not much, honestly, for a bike that’s been through the decades. Sold as seen. No frills, just a real, working piece of history.
