Got this old Suzuki Splash back in 2012, and it’s been a solid workhorse for me over the years. Still got just under 45,000 miles on it — not much at all for a car that age. It’s been properly looked after, with a recent battery and winter tyres fitted, and the winter tyres are a real plus when the weather turns.

It’s a 5-door hatchback with a 1.0L engine, 5-speed manual, and runs smoothly. Starts up every time, no warning lights, no knocking — just quiet, reliable driving. Inside’s tidy, the seats are comfortable, and it’s a bit of a surprise how roomy it is for a small car.

I’ve had it for 8 odd years, with two of the owners being family — so it’s been a consistent, low-maintenance ride. The V5 is there, MOT valid for 12 months, and it’s a chain-drive engine so no nasty cam belt worries.

Finished in silver, it’s not flashy, but it’s a proper town car — great for daily commutes or running errands. Power steering, electric windows, heated mirrors, central locking, radio and CD player — everything’s there.
