I’ve had this 2012 VW Amarok for a few years now — it’s been my go-to for all sorts of jobs around the yard and weekend trips. It’s a 2.0 TDI diesel with 4Motion, so it handles snow and rough terrain like a champ, and I’ve never had any issues with the 4x4 setup. Towing capacity is 3000kg, which is more than enough for trailers or boats.

Inside, it’s got that climatic semi-auto AC — super useful when the weather turns, especially in the summer. The seats are solid, and the interior hasn’t worn out much despite regular use. Fuel economy’s decent too — I’ve managed about 36 mpg on average, which is better than most pickups I’ve seen. And the CO2 emissions are low, so it’s not a bad choice for the environment either.

It’s been well looked after, and I’ve kept it maintained properly. The safety features like pretensioner belts are all working fine.

I live in Southam, Stratford-on-Avon now, so it’s just a short drive from my place. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable and gets the job done. If you’re looking for a solid, capable pickup that doesn’t break the bank — this one’s been a real workhorse for me.
