Benjamin Bunny 50p – dated 2017

Got this old 50p from 2017, it’s the one celebrating Beatrix Potter’s Benjamin Bunny. The front has the Queen’s portrait from 2015, done by Jody Clark – first Royal Mint artist to do that in 100 years. The back shows Benjamin in full bunny gear – that classic jacket and his funny, big tam-o-shanter cap. His right hand is holding a bit of Peter Rabbit’s lost clothing, and his left has an onion, which is a real nod to the farm mischief they used to get up to. The two cousins were always stealing food from the McGregor farm, so this coin has a bit of that cheeky charm. It’s been in circulation, so it’s not pristine but still looks fine – photos are attached. I’m based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, so postage is extra if you’re picking it up. Price is £1.35, but I’m not going to say that upfront – just thought I’d share it.
