Description

This is the second part of the Shanty Book 6240, edited by Sir Richard Runciman Terry and published by J Curwen & Sons Ltd back in 1922. It’s a vocal edition, so it’s meant to be read aloud—perfect if you’ve ever been into old sailor songs or want to get into the rhythm of shanties.

Inside, you’ll find shanties like Windlass and Capstan, Halliard shanties, and a Fore-Sheet one called "Haul Away, Joe (II)"—see the photos for the full list. I’ve kept it in a pet and smoke-free home, so it’s been treated gently over the years.

It’s not on any other site—just here. If you’re interested, just drop me a message and I’ll send you the address in Mold, Flintshire. (Yes, I know it’s not Wimbledon anymore—my old address is still accurate, but I’ve moved the location details to reflect where I actually am now.)

If you’re curious about what else I’ve got, just click on the arrow next to my name on Gumtree and scroll down—there’s a few more things I’ve been sharing over there. No need to ask about availability. Just let me know when you’d like to see it.
