Description

I’ve had this steam mop for years, mostly just for cleaning around the house — it’s been used a few times, but not too much. It’s actually pretty handy, especially with the way it works. You can use it as a floor steamer for sealed hard floors like wood, tile, or laminate — the angled head makes it easy to reach corners and tight spots. I always use it on sealed floors, and it really does leave them fresh-smelling without any mess.

The big plus is the detachable handheld bit — just one click, and you’ve got a little steam wand for showers, windows, tiles, sinks, taps, mirrors — anything you’d normally need to clean with a small steamer. I’ve used it on my bathroom tiles and kitchen surfaces, and it cuts through grime better than just steam alone.

It’s got a 1600-watt motor, 0.46-litre tank, and heats up in about 20 seconds. 15 minutes of steam per tank, continuous steam with a trigger-activated flow (about 15g/min), and it has overheat protection. The power cord is 7m, so it’s not a hassle to plug in.

I use it with a brand cleaning solution or plain water, and it works well on carpets, rugs, and sealed floors. I don’t use it on unsealed surfaces, so it’s best for those types of floors.

It’s from Shetland, Scotland — I’ve been living there for a few years now, so it’s been a bit of a move from my old place. The model number is S86-SF-CC, and it’s in great shape. I’ve only used it a couple of times a year, so it’s still in excellent working order.

It’s sitting in a cupboard, not being used much — I’m just giving it away because I’ve found a better way to clean now. I’ve priced it at £45, but it’s really just something I’ve kept for years and thought I’d pass on. If you’re into cleaning and like steam mops, it’s been a real help around the house.
