I’ve been using this VTech Super Star microphone for years — it’s basically my go-to for singing and playing around with music. I got it when I was a kid, and it still works great even after all these years. The thing is, it lets you plug in your own music player (not included), so you can sing along to whatever you want. I’ve even used it to record my own little performances — it’s fun to play back and share with friends.

There’s a cool light show that changes colours automatically, like a disco party, and you can switch between different effects — voice changes, audience cheers, all with just a button press. It comes with 8 songs and loads of games, so it’s not just for singing — you can play rhythm games too.

I’ve lived in county-londonderry, Northern Ireland for a while now, so it’s been a solid part of my home setup. I’m parting ways with it because I’ve upgraded to something newer, but I’m still pretty proud of how much it’s done over the years. If you're into retro gadgets or just want something fun to play with, it’s a real joy to use.
