Description

I’ve had this Sky SR101 router for a few years now and it’s been pretty solid for my home. It’s the one that came with my old Sky broadband, and I still use it — even though I’ve upgraded my connection, it’s reliable enough to keep around.

It’s a white router with a clean design, and it handles both fibre and ADSL. The setup’s easy — no complicated wiring or manuals needed. I’ve used it in my Lymington, New Forest home, and it covers the whole place without any dead spots.

It’s got a 2.4GHz 802.11n standard, which works backwards with older devices too, and the 144 Mbps speed is decent for what it’s meant for. The smart signal selection automatically picks the best channel, which helps avoid interference.

It has those little LEDs to show status, and includes WPS, WPA2, and WEP security — all standard. I’ve never had any major issues with it, and it’s been running on its own power supply, so no extra adapters.

I’m just getting rid of it because I’m moving to a new setup, and it’s actually only £6.30 now. It’s not fancy, but it does what it’s supposed to. If you’re looking for a basic, no-frills router that works in a home, this one’s been a real workhorse.

It comes with the router and a power lead — nothing extra.

(Still works fine, just not the latest model.)
