Nissan Qashqai 2013 360 Camera Hatchback Manual

So I’ve been using this car for school runs and work trips – all pretty local, so it doesn’t really get much use. It’s a 2013 Qashqai, manual, 5-door, 360 camera model – the one with the good looks and decent interior.

It runs fine most of the time, but sometimes it starts coughing and smoking, especially when it’s cold – like a diesel knock. I’ve noticed it’s not the engine, because if I turn it off and then back on, it’s fine again. I’ve had a diagnostic done and it shows glow plugs are a bit weak, but honestly, that doesn’t actually affect how it drives.

I’ve had it serviced properly over the last two months – new front tyres, new brake pads, new fuel filter. Also had a new clutch 1500 miles ago, so it’s been well looked after. The handbrake might need a bit of tightening, and there’s a small scratch on the rear passenger door – not a big deal at all.

I’ve only used it for short trips, so it hasn’t really been pushed hard. I know it’s a fuel issue – nothing fancy, just needs someone with the right knowledge to fix it. I’ve got a private plate, which I’ll remove, but I’ve left photos of it for MOT history.
